HOA Meeting Agenda April 1 + Zoom
(No this is not an April Fool’s joke, etc. Just an unfortunate coincidence.)
The board is meeting virtually using Zoom conferencing software. If any residents wish to attend it has to be through Zoom.
How to participate in the meeting using Zoom:
1. Usually you will receive a Zoom invite from the meeting’s host, whether via email or text message. In the invite, they will say “Join Zoom Meeting” follow by a clickable link, zoom.us. Click on it.
2. You can use zoom on your phone, laptop, computers and tablets.
3. If you already have zoom installed, go to step 4. If not, follow instructions provided by your device to install Zoom. It’s very simple.. (phone/tablets, it’ll automatically take you to the App Store. For Computers, a pop up will ask you for installation)
4. Zoom is free to use, and they don’t even require an account. They’ll ask to enter your name, so that others in the meeting can know who you are. (see pic below)
5. Audio choices: if you join with your phone/tablet/laptop: since these devices have both cameras and microphones, you’re good to go. It will start with both microphone and camera OFF, so don’t worry. It will only turn on when you click on the corresponding icon at the bottom.
For you who join using computer, it may not have a microphone, so if you want to talk, you’d have to use your phone to call into a toll-free number. see pic below.
That’s it. Hope to see you all there. Contact me if you need further help to set it up in advance. Dave 202-355-5886.
